Almost back to normal

After two summers of Covid (bad and sad) when we had Quann mostly to ourselves (great!), AEC is back with a full calendar of events this year.  Check out the calendar page for the list provided in the spring.  The groups.io calendar is the place to go for any late breaking news and possibly more details.  If you join the email group you can get email reminders of closure dates right in your emailbox.
Dog park cleanup day got snowed out this year, so if you skipped the official cleanup like many did, please pick any day that works for you, grab a bunch of extra bags, or bring a bucket or larger bag from home, get off the main path and pick up as many leftovers as you see.  I guarantee you will find some!  Better yet - be a Park Hero - pick up an extra 1 or 2 every time you visit the park.  See you at the park...

Covid-19 Etiquette

Quann dog park is a great place to visit during the Covid 19 pandemic.  It is outdoors in the fresh air and Quann is big enough to easily stay 6 feet apart.  Covid is still a threat and will likely remain so for the rest of the year, so here are some precautions and etiquette suggestions.
  1. Bring your mask.  When sufficiently distanced it is OK not to wear it, but have it handy so you can get it on quickly in case someone invades your space.
  2. Don't touch the gates and gate latches with your hands. This is to protect yourself and others. If you do accidentally touch the gate immediately use hand sanitizer.
  3. Don't congregate or hang out at the entrances.  Move away so others can enter and exit while maintaining distance.
  4. Stay 6 feet apart from anyone not in your household.
  5. When sharing a road or sidewalk with folks going the other way - move to the edge and walk single file if you are in a group. If passing someone from behind move over so you maintain 6 feet distance - it is the passers responsibility.  Don't make other people move over into the grass to avoid you.
  6. Don't pet other peoples dogs.
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, and give thanks for Quann dog park that lets us do so.

Moving email group from Yahoo to groups.io

The Quann4Dogs email group is moving from yahoo to a new service. Yahoo-groups will no longer be used starting in Jan 2020. The new groups.io is full featured, saves emails on the website and most importantly has a functional calendar for sending out automated email reminders of park closure dates. The new email group can be joined at:
